RHP Arnold Leon had a rocky outing in the River Cats’ finale, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits over 5 innings, but he still ended up earning his 5th win on Monday, while RHP Brian Gordon picked up his 23rd save to establish a new single-season record for Sacramento. Outfielder Jake Goebbert hit a 2-run homer to tie the game in the 2nd inning, while catcher Derek Norris homered in the 9th. First Anthony Aliotti had 3 hits and drove in a run, and shortstop Addison Russell notched his first hit for the River Cats and ended his 3-game stint with Sacramento having gone 1 for 13 with 9 strikeouts. Meanwhile, the River Cats ended their season with a 79-65 record and the highest home attendance of any team in the Pacific Coast League with 607,329 fans having attended Raley Field this year.

After struggling during much of his time with the RockHounds this season, starter Drew Granier picked up the win in Midland’s final game, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits over 6 innings of work, while RHP Jesus Castillo got the final 3 outs for his 1st save. Designated hitter Vinnie Catriclala singled and homered, while third baseman Jefry Marte drove in a pair of runs for the RockHounds, who finished their season with a 62-78 record.

Starter Deyvi Jimenez had a rough outing in the Snappers’ regular season finale, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits over 3 2/3 innings of work. Outfielder Aaron Shipman had a pair of hits and scored a run, while third baseman Renato Nunez singled and doubled. Designated hitter John Wooten doubled and scored, and first baseman Matt Olson singled in a run for the Snappers, who finished with a regular season record of 77-62. Beloit begins post-season play on Wednesday at Clinton.
