Starter Andrew Werner had a strong outing on Sunday, allowing just 1 run over 6 innings of work to earn his 11th win, while LHP Mike Zagurski gave up 1 run in 2/3 of an inning of relief in his River Cats debut, and RHP Brian Gordon picked up his 18th save despite giving up a pair of runs in the 9th. Second baseman Hiro Nakajima had 3 hits, while outfielder Shane Peterson singled, doubled and drove in 2 runs, and third baseman Daric Barton drove in a pair for the Cats.

Starter Drew Carpenter had a solid outing for the RockHounds, allowing 2 runs, just 1 earned, while striking out 4 over 5 innings of work, but he still ended up taking the loss on Sunday. Designated hitter Vinnie Catricala hit his 3rd home run, while outfielder Conner Crumbliss and third baseman Jefry Marte had a pair of hits apiece for Hounds.

The Ports scored 7 runs in the top of the 1st inning on Sunday, but LHP Shaeffer Hall had a rough start for Stockton, allowing 7 runs, 5 earned, on 8 hits over 3 2/3 innings, while LHP Omar Duran followed up by surrendering 4 runs in just 1 inning of relief to take the loss. Outfielder Dusty Robinson hit a 3-run homer, his 20th, while second baseman Antonio Lamas doubled and drove in a pair of runs for the Ports.

Starter Deyvi Jimenez had a strong outing for the Snappers on Sunday, allowing just 3 hits and striking out 5 over 6 scoreless innings and left the game with the lead. But RHP Tyler Vail surrendered 3 runs in the 9th inning to tie the game, and LHP Chris Lamb gave up the go-ahead run in the 10th to take the loss. Third baseman John Wooten singled, doubled and drove in a run for the Snappers.

Starter Brent Powers had a rocky outing on Sunday, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits over 5 innings of work. Vermont took the lead in the top of the 8th inning, but RHP Sam Bragg gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th to take the loss. Outfielder Herschel Powell had 3 hits, while first baseman Ryan Huck doubled, walked and scored twice, and catcher Ryan Gorton had a pair of hits and drove in a run in the loss.

Starter Cristhian Perez allowed 3 runs on 5 hits over 4 innings of work, while RHP Rony Acevedo gave up 2 runs in the top of the 9th to take the loss. Outfielders Billy McKinney and Justin Higley both singled, doubled and drove in a run, while McKinney added his 7th stolen base of the season for the A’s.
