Starter Zach Neal turned in a strong outing for the RockHounds, allowing 1 run on just 2 hits over 6 innings to earn his 8th win on Thursday. Third baseman Tyler Ladendorf singled, doubled and drove in 3 runs, while outfielders Conner Crumbliss and D’Arby Myers collected 3 hits apiece for the Hounds. RHP Jesus Castillo tossed 2 scoreless innings of relief in his debut for Midland. RHP Carlos Fisher was released to make room on the RockHounds roster for Castillo, who joins the A’s organization after spending the past few seasons pitching in the Mexican League.

Third baseman B.A. Vollmuth had 3 hits, including a triple, and drove in 2 runs, while outfielder Bobby Crocker collected 4 hits and drove in a pair, catcher Bruce Maxwell drove in 3, and shortstop Addison Russell hit his 3rd home run in his last 4 games for the Ports.

4th-round draft pick Dylan Covey had a solid outing for the Snappers, allowing 4 runs, just 2 earned, and striking out 4 over 5 2/3 innings or work, while RHP Austin House allowed the tying run in the 6th inning, and RHP Tyler Vail gave up the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 9th to take the loss. Second baseman Chris Bostick had a pair of doubles and drove in a run for the Snappers.

Outfielder Herschel Powell had 3 hits, including a double, and drove in a run, while outfielder Tyler Marincov had 2 hits and drove in a pair of runs for Vermont.
