Starter Murphy Smith had a rough outing for the RockHounds, allowing 7 runs, 4 earned, on 8 hits over 3 innings of work on Wednesday, but RHP Pedro Vidal gave up 7 runs, 6 earned, in 3 innings of relief to take the loss. Second baseman Dusty Coleman tripled, singled and drove in 3 runs for the RockHounds.

LHP Shaeffer Hall had a shaky start for Stockton, allowing 7 runs on 9 hits over 4 1/3 innings to take the loss on Wednesday. And with his team down by 8 runs, outfielder Dusty Robinson hit a grand slam in the 8th inning for the Ports.

Starter Deyvi Jimenez had a rocky outing for the Snappers, allowing 7 runs on 14 hits over 7 innings to take the loss on Wednesday. Second baseman Chris Bostick and designated hitter Ryan Mathews each a pair of hits and drove in a run for the Snappers.

Starter Kyle Finnegan had another solid outing for Vermont, allowing just 1 run and striking out 6 over 5 innings or work, but he left with the game tied 1-1. And it would remain tied until the bottom of the 8th, when outfielder B.J. Boyd led off the inning with his 6th home run to provide the go-ahead run and third baseman Ryon Healy followed with his 2nd home run to add a little insurance. RHP Kayvon Bahramzadeh picked up the win after tossing 3 scoreless innings for Vermont, while RHP Trevor Bayless got the final 3 outs to post his 7th save for the Lake Monsters.
