RHP Arnold Leon had his second straight impressive start for Sacramento on Tuesday, allowing just 1 run and striking out 6 over 7 innings of work to earn his 3rd win, while RHP Brian Gordon got the final 3 outs for his 13th save. Outfielder Michael Taylor was the hitting star for the second straight night, doubling in both the River Cats runs in the 4th inning. In other news, LHP Pedro Viola was sent to Stockton to make room for LHP Tommy Milone on the River Cats roster.

Starter Josh Bowman had a solid outing for Stockton, allowing 3 runs, just 1 earned, over 7 innings of work, but he still ended up taking the loss on Tuesday. The Ports scored just 1 run in the game when third baseman B.A. Vollmuth singled in shortstop Addison Russell in the 6th inning. Stockton placed RHP Michael Ynoa on the 7-day disabled list with shoulder tightness, and he was replaced on the Ports roster by LHP Pedro Viola, who was sent down from Sacramento.

Third baseman Renato Nunez homered, walked twice and scored twice, while outfielder Ryan Mathews and designated hitter Aaron Shipman had 3 hits apiece for the Snappers.

Third baseman Ryon Healy hit a 2-run homer to put Vermont on the board in the 4th inning. Starter Lou Trivino had a solid outing, allowing just 2 unearned runs and striking out 6 over 5 innings of work, but RHP Fernando Cruzado gave up 2 unearned runs in the 11th inning, with the help of a throwing error by third baseman Luis Baez, to take his 2nd loss for the Lake Monsters.
