LHP Jeff Urlaub allowed 2 unearned runs, while RHP Ryan Dull surrendered the tying run in the 8th inning, and RHP Mike DeMark gave up a 3-run homer in the 10th inning to take the loss. First baseman Max Muncy had 3 hits, including a double, while third baseman Jefry Marte homered and drove in a pair of runs for the RockHounds.

The Ports managed just 3 hits in the game, one apiece from first baseman B.A. Vollmuth, third baseman Tony Thompson and outfielder Dusty Robinson.

Starter Brent Powers had a solid outing for Vermont, allowing 6 hits and striking out 5 over 7 scoreless innings on Friday. It was a scoreless tie until the bottom of the 9th inning when third baseman Ryon Healy’s throwing error helped open the door to an unearned run and saddled RHP Sam Bragg with the loss.
