Catcher Stephen Vogt hit his 13th home run, while designated hitter Jemile Weeks tripled, and outfielder Michael Choice and third baseman Daric Barton drove in a pair of runs apiece for the River Cats. In other news, second baseman Grant Green was optioned back to Sacramento, while infielder Adam Rosales was presumably headed back to Oakland.

Starter Zach Neal turned in an impressive outing on Tuesday, allowing just 2 hits in a 9-inning complete-game shutout for Midland. Designated hitter Jake Goebbert had 2 hits, including a double, and second baseman Dusty Coleman doubled in outfielder Conner Crumbliss for the RockHounds’ only run of the game.

A fielding error by second baseman Antonio Lamas opened the door to 5 unearned runs in the 5th inning for Visalia. Those would be the only runs allowed by starter Tanner Peters in 5 2/3 innings of work on Tuesday. RHP Seth Frankoff tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief, but RHP Ryan Dull gave up the game-winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning to take the loss. Outfielder Rashun Dixon collected 3 hits, while outfielder Dusty Robinson tagged a 3-run homer for the Ports.
