Pitcher Dan Straily

(7 IP / 4 H / 0 ER / 2 BB / 7 K)

Starter Dan Straily had an impressive outing for Sacramento on Sunday, allowing just 4 hits while striking out 7 over 7 scoreless innings of work, and he left with the game tied 0-0. RHP Brian Gordon picked up the win despite giving up a run in the top of the 10th inning. But Jemile Weeks singled home first baseman Shane Peterson and third baseman Hiro Nakajima in the bottom of the 10th to give the River Cats the win. Peterson and Nakajima had a pair of hits apiece in the game, while shortstop Adam Rosales went 0 for 4. Sacramento outfielder Jeremy Barfield was placed on the disabled list while he makes his way to Arizona to begin working on his conversion to pitching. So watch out Sean Doolittle!

Farmhand Of The Game:

The A’s 4th-round draft pick in this year’s draft, RHP Dylan Covey, made an impressive debut for Beloit, allowing just 1 run on 3 hits over 5 innings of work, but he still ended up taking the loss on Sunday. RHP Derek De Young was even more impressive in relief, allowing just 1 baserunner over 4 scoreless innings to do his best to keep his team in the game. Unfortunately, the Snappers couldn’t push a run across the plate on Sunday. Outfielder John Wooten and shortstop Sam Roberts had a pair of hits apiece to account for all 4 of Beloit’s hits in the game. RHP Deyvi Jimenez was sent down to Vermont to make room for Covey on the roster.

  1. Thanks for giving your ideas. I’d also like to exseprs that video games have been at any time evolving. Technology advances and inventions have helped create authentic and fun games. These types of entertainment games were not that sensible when the concept was first being tried. Just like other kinds of technology, video games way too have had to progress by many decades. This itself is testimony on the fast progression of video games.

  2. Sharon ThurstonYes, this is a wonderful story but if the ASL inptrereter is not shown on the big screen, none of the deaf people sitting far away from the speaker are helped by this as they can’t see his hands or read his lips from a distance. I have a hearing loss, do not know sign language, and would have been able to hear the President if I was able to sit near the front, but no one seemed to know about special accomodations when I got there (even though I’d asked beforehand as I have a cochlear implant that works very well in some situations not in others). Hopefully the folks that know sign language were able to sit up front.

  3. Dear Peg-o-leg (if thate28099s your real name)My name is David Ripoff of the law firm Ripoff, Scruyu, and Sumanabitch. One of our clients is Big Al, who you might know from blog taecvillehn. For reasons that escape us entirely, Big Al follows your blog and hangs on every word as gospel. As a result he took the product of your latest scam, Scentsa, before every meal. Contrary to your claims, he loved it. If fact, he loved it so much, he began to have second and third helpings. To date he has gained 530 pounds and is now homebound because he is unable to fit through the door of his house.By separate mailing you will soon be receiving a civil suit, seeking the sum of $ 1,000,000. for the plaintiff (Big Al). The suit alleges product misrepresentation, false advertising, reckless endangerment and the most egregious offense, doing anything for a laugh. We encourage you to consider a settlement before trial to avoid the negative publicity to your blog.Yours truly,David RipoffCc: WordPress.com (co-defendant)

  4. This article, to me, reienorcfs the Strength of Weak Ties theory, developed in the 1970 s by Mark Granovetter. The relationships developed with individuals and groups outside your close-in networks can be assigned greater value because of the diversity that they bring to you. People from other generations, other cultures or other fields, for example, speak differently, may have different value systems and may offer ideas that can inspire you in new ways. In a talk I give on Building & Leveraging Your Circles of Influence, we map out current networks and strategically focus on who you should add to your network in order to enhance innovation and problem-solving by leveraging the people you know. The value is a two-way street, as well.
