Starter Bruce Billings allowed 2 runs over 6 innings of work and left with the game tied, but LHP Pedro Figueroa took the loss after the winning run scored in the 9th inning. Second baseman Hiro Nakajima doubled to drive in the River Cats’ only 2 runs of the game.

Starter Drew Granier had another solid outing for the RockHounds, allowing just 2 hits while striking out 5 over 6 1/3 scoreless innings, and left with the game tied, but RHP Carlos Fisher gave up the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning to take the loss. Outfielder Conner Crumbliss collected Midland’s only hit of the night.

Starter James Simmons allowed 6 runs, 3 earned, on 6 hits and struck out 6 over 5 innings to earn his 7th win, while RHP Ryan Dull posted a pair of strikeouts in the 9th inning to pick up his 3rd save for the Ports. First baseman Max Muncy tagged his 21st home run, while third baseman B.A. Vollmuth belted his 16th homer, and outfielder Josh Whitaker slugged his 7th for Stockton.

Second baseman Chris Bostick doubled in a run, and first baseman Matt Olson collected a pair of hits, including his 23rd double, for the Snappers.

The A’s 8th overall draft pick this year, RHP Kyle Finnegan, allowed just 2 hits and struck out 3 over 4 scoreless innings of work, while RHP Lee Sosa allowed 1 run in 4 innings of relief to take the loss on Thursday.Catcher Ryan Gorton collected 3 of Vermont’s 4 hits on the night.

The A’s 5th overall draft pick this year, LHP Chris Kohler, had a rough outing, allowing 4 runs in just 1 inning of work to take his 1st loss, while the A’s 18th overall pick, RHP Junior Mendez, allowed just 1 hit and struck out 3 in 3 innings of relief on Thursday. First baseman Gabriel Santana and catcher Diomedes Lopez both homered for the A’s.
