The River Cats exploded for 14 runs in Colorado Springs on Monday. Outfielder Michael Taylor had 3 hits, including a home run and a double, and drove in 3 runs, while third baseman Scott Moore slugged a solo shot, outfielder Michael Choice had 3 hits and drove in a pair, and second baseman Jemile Weeks collected 4 hits for the River Cats. Starter Arnold Leon had a shaky outing for Sacramento, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits over 5 innings of work but ended up notching his 1st win for the River Cats.

Starter Carlos Hernandez had an impressive outing for Midland on Monday, striking out 6 over 6 1/3 scoreless innings to earn his 4th win. First baseman Vinnie Catricala and designated hitter Anthony Aliotti collected 3 hits apiece for the RockHounds.

RHP Raul Alcantara had another strong start for Stockton on Monday, allowing 1 run on 3 hits and striking out 7 over 6 1/3 innings, while RHPs Seth Frankoff and Ryan Dull combined to strike out 5 in 2 2/3 scoreless innings of relief. Outfielder Dusty Robinson hit a 3-run homer, first baseman Tony Thompson tagged a 2-run homer, and outfielder Myrio Richard slugged a solo shot for Stockton.

RHP Gregory Paulino had a solid outing for Monday, allowing 1 run on just 3 hits while striking out 5 over 6 innings to earn his 2nd win. The A’s 5th-round draft pick this year, RHP Bobby Wahl, made his debut with Vermont, striking out 3 over 2 scoreless innings of work, while 18th-round pick, RHP Sam Bragg, got the final 3 outs to earn his 1st save. Third baseman Michael Soto hit a 2-run homer in the 8th inning for the Lake Monsters.

The A’s 3rd-round pick in this year’s draft, first baseman Ryon Healy, went 0 for 1 in his debut, while designated hitter Vicmal De La Cruz doubled and catcher Andy Paz singled for the A’s only 2 hits on the night.
