RHP Zach Neal had a rough outing for the RockHounds, allowing 8 runs, 7 earned, on 11 hits over 3 innings to take his 6th loss. Second baseman Tyler Ladendorf did most of the damage for Midland on Wednesday with a 3-run homer in the 7th inning.

Starter Shaeffer Hall had a shaky outing for Stockton on Wednesday, allowing 6 runs on 8 hits over 4 innings to take his 3rd loss. Outfielder Bobby Crocker slugged his 7th home run, and first baseman Max Muncy smacked his league-leading 20th homer for the Ports.

Starter Vince Voiro had a solid outing for the Snappers on Wednesday, allowing 2 runs over 5 innings of work to earn his 4th win, while RHP Austin House got the final 3 outs for his 3rd save. Designated hitter Ryan Delgado had 2 hits, including a home run, and drove in a pair of runs for the Snappers.

Starter Carlos Navas allowed 3 runs over 5 1/3 innings of work, but RHP A.J. Burke gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to take the loss. Third baseman A.J. Kubala hit his 1st home run in pro ball, a 2-run shot in the 8th inning to briefly give the A’s the lead.

 

In Other News…

The A’s announced that they’ve agreed to terms with their 2nd-round draft pick, LHP Dillon Overton, but the specific terms were not announced. And Yahoo’s Jeff Passan has correctly reported that Overton signed for a significant discount since he’s going to require Tommy John surgery.
