Second baseman Grant Green had 3 hits, including a double, while outfielder Michael Choice collected 3 hits as well, and third baseman Andy Parrino had 2 hits and drove in a pair of runs for the River Cats.

Starter Josh Bowman had a strong outing for Stockton on Monday, allowing just 1 run on 4 hits over 6 innings to earn his 2nd win, while RHP Ryan Dull struck out 3 in 1 2/3 scoreless innings of relief to pick up his 1st save for the Ports. Shortstop Addison Russell homered, tripled, drove in a pair of runs and scored twice in the win. Catcher Bruce Maxwell should be joining Stockton from Beloit on Tuesday.

Recent 2013 draftees Kyle Finnegan and Jerad Grundy each tossed 2 scoreless innings on Monday, but fellow 2013 draftee Matt Stalcup allowed 1 run in his 2 innings of relief to take the loss. Outfielder B.J. Boyd and first baseman Michael Soto both doubled for Vermont’s only 2 hits of the game.
