Starter Bruce Billings allowed 4 runs on 5 hits while striking out 6 over 6 2/3 innings to pick up his 9th win. But it was the River Cats’ hitters who did moost of the heavy lifting on Sunday. Catcher Stephen Vogt had 3 hits, including a double, and drove in 5 runs, while third baseman Scott Moore also doubled and drove in 5, and second baseman Grant Green collected 4 hits, including a pair of doubles, drove in a run and scored 3 times for the River Cats.

With the game tied in the bottom of the 8th inning, second baseman Chris Bostick singled in a pair of runs to clinch the win for the Snappers.

The A’s 13th overall pick, RHP Lou Trivino, followed up with 2 scoreless innings in relief, and RHP Deyvi Jimenez picked up the win with 4 scoreless innings of work. Outfielder B.J. Boyd doubled in the go-ahead run in the 7th inning, while shortstop Chad Pinder and outfielder Jaycob Brugman collected a pair of hits apiece for Vermont.
