Farmhand Of The Game:

Shortstop Daniel Robertson

(4 for 4 / Home Run / 2 Doubles / 2 RBIs)

Shortstop Daniel Robertson, who had cooled off a bit lately, came through with a big game for Beloit on Saturday, going 4 for 4 with a home run and a pair of doubles. Designated hitter Chris Bostick and outfielder Ryan Mathews both homered and doubled as well. Starter Michael Ynoa went 4 1/3 innings, allowing 2 hits and 2 runs, thanks to a 2-run homer in the 4th, while RHP Andres Avila gave up just 1 run in 4 innings of relief to earn his 1st win for Beloit.

In Other News…

Outfielder Josh Reddick’s return to the A’s roster led to the release of Snappers’ infielder and former 4th-round draft pick Chad Lewis. When Reddick was activated by the A’s, catcher Luke Montz was optioned to Sacramento, which led to catcher Ryan Ortiz’s return to Stockton, which caused catcher Ryan Delgado to be demoted to Beloit, which resulted in Chad Lewis’s release by the A’s. And that’s the way it works in baseball, kids!
