Worth Noting: Starter Dan Straily had his roughest outing yet for the River Cats, allowing 6 runs on 8 hits in just 2 2/3 innings to take his 3rd loss, while right-hander Justin Souza gave up 8 runs, 7 earned in just 1 1/3 innings in relief. Second baseman Jemile Weeks doubled in 2 runs for the River Cats, and his batting average now stands at .476 after his first 5 games with Sacramento.

Worth Noting: Outfielder Jeremy Barfield doubled and scored the tying run in the 8th inning, and also doubled with the game tied in the bottom of the 10th. He was replaced by pinch-runner Eliezer Mesa, who eventually came around to score the winning run for the RockHounds. Starter Shawn Haviland had a shaky outing, allowing 5 runs, 4 earned, on 9 hits over just 4 innings of work, while left-hander Beau Jones picked up the win with 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief.

Worth Noting: After turning in his best effort of the season his last time out, right-hander Max Perlman gave up 6 runs, 5 earned, in the first 2 innings of Tuesday’s game but then settled down to toss 3 scoreless innings. Stockton came back to tie the game on first baseman Tony Thompson’s 2-run homer in the top of the 7th inning, but right-hander Jonathan Joseph surrendered 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th to turn over the lead and take the loss.

Worth Noting: Starter Blake Hassebrock had another solid outing for Burlington on Tuesday, tossing 6 scoreless innings to earn his 2nd win for the Bees. Shortstop Addison Russell had 2 hits, including a double, walked, stole a base, drove in a run and scored twice in the win.

Worth Noting: Starter Andres Avila turned in one of his best outings yet for Vermont on Tuesday, striking out 8 in 6 scoreless innings to earn his 2nd win and snap the team’s 9-game losing streak. First baseman Miguel Marte and catcher Reynaldo Mateo, serving as the designated hitter, both homered in the win.
