Worth Noting: After turning in a string of half a dozen solid starts, top prospect Sonny Gray had his 2nd straight shaky outing on Sunday, allowing 6 runs, 5 earned, on 8 hits over 5 1/3 innings to take his 9th loss. Third baseman Miles Head hit his 5th home run for the RockHounds.

Worth Noting: Starter Nate Long had a rocky outing on Sunday, allowing 4 runs over 4 1/3 innings to take the loss. Catcher Ryan Ortiz hit his 5th home run in the 8th inning to bring the Ports within a run, but right-hander Jonathan Joseph gave up 3 runs, 2 earned, in the top of the 9th to put the game out of reach for the Ports.

Worth Noting: Outfielder Bobby Crocker had 2 doubles and drove in 4 runs, including the go-ahead run in the 8th inning for the Bees. Starter A.J. Cole had another strong outing, allowing 1 run on just 2 hits over 5 innings of work on Sunday, while right-hander Seth Frankoff picked up the win with 2 1/3 innings in relief.

Worth Noting: The A’s 3rd overall draft pick this year, first baseman Matt Olson, clubbed a 3-run homer, his 7th, while outfielder Ryan Mathews hit a solo shot, his 1st. Starter Kayvon Bahramzadeh allowed 2 runs and struck out 5 over 3 innings of work, while right-hander Tyler Hollstegge picked up the win with 2 innings of scoreless relief.
