Worth Noting: Grant Green, getting the start at second base, singled in the tying run in the 6th inning, then singled in the go-ahead run in the 8th inning on Monday night. Outfielder Shane Peterson contributed 2 hits and drove in a pair of runs for the River Cats. Starter Bruce Billings had a rough outing, allowing 5 runs, 4 earned, over 5 innings of work, while right-hander Justin Souza picked up the win with 2 scoreless innings in relief.

Worth Noting: Catcher David Freitas, serving as the designated hitter for the day, drove in the go-ahead run in the 6th inning then, after Midland lost the lead, scored the winning run in the 9th inning for the RockHounds. Second baseman Josh Horton collected 3 hits and scored twice in the win. Starter Sonny Gray had his shakiest outing in over a month, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits over 6 1/3 innings, while right-hander Brett Hunter picked up the win with 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief.

Worth Noting: Starter A.J. Cole allowed 2 unearned runs, thanks to a throwing error by shortstop Sean Jamieson, and struck out 6 over 5 innings on Monday to lower his ERA with Burlington to 2.12. Cole left with the game tied 2-2, but right-hander Drew Tyson gave up 4 runs in the 7th inning to put the Bees in a deep hole. Shortstop Jamieson hit a 3-run homer in the 8th inning to tie the game, and outfielder Aaron Shipman eventually tripled in the winning run in the top of the 12th inning for the Bees.
