Worth Noting: Starter Tyson Ross allowed 3 runs on 6 hits while striking out 7 over 6 innings on Tuesday. First baseman Daric Barton had 2 hits and drove in the tying run in the bottom of the 8th inning, but right-hander Merkin Valdez gave up a run in the top of the 9th to take the loss. Grant Green, getting the start at second base once again, doubled and drove in a run for the River Cats.

Worth Noting: Starter Blake Hassebrock had another rough outing, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits over 5 innings to take his 6th loss. Third baseman B.A. Vollmuth clubbed a 2-run homer in the 2nd inning, while catcher Max Stassi and first baseman A.J. Kirby-Jones both hit solo shots in the 7th.

Worth Noting: Starter A.J. Cole had another solid outing, allowing just 1 run while walking 1 and striking out 5 in 5 innings of work, but right-hander Jonathan Joseph gave up 4 runs, 3 earned, in relief to take the loss. Outfielder Rashun Dixon homered to lead off the 1st inning for the Bees, while shortstop Sean Jamieson drove in 2 runs in the loss.

Worth Noting: First baseman Miguel Marte doubled and drove in 2 runs, while second baseman Chris Bostick and outfielder Kelvin Rojas contributed 2 hits apiece on Tuesday. Starter Brent Powers allowed 1 run and struck out 6 over 4 1/3 innings, and left-hander Omar Duran struck out 4 in 2 scoreless innings in relief, but right-hander Stu Pudenz gave up 3 runs in the 8th inning to take the loss. In other news, the A’s second overall draft pick this year, infielder Daniel Robertson, is on his way to join this year’s #1 pick, Addison Russell, in Vermont.

Worth Noting: Catcher Phil Pohl had 2 hits, including a double, and drove in 2 runs, while starter Dakota Bacus struck out 5 in 3 perfect innings of work, and right-hander Jose Azor struck out 2 in 3 scoreless innings to pick up the win on Tuesday.
