Worth Noting: Starter Dan Straily had another dominant outing on Monday, striking out 9 over 6 scoreless innings to earn his 4th win for the River Cats. Outfielder Jermaine Mitchell and second baseman Wes Timmons drove in 2 runs apiece in the win.

Worth Noting: Starter Sonny Gray allowed 3 runs and struck out 5 over 6 2/3 innings of work, while right-hander Jose Guzman took the loss after giving up the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 8th inning. Third baseman Miles Head blasted a 3-run homer and outfielder Jeremy Barfield tripled and drove in a run in the loss.

Worth Noting: Third baseman Wade Kirkland doubled in 2 runs in the 3rd inning to give Burlington the lead and account for the Bees’ only runs of the game. Starter Julio Ramos struck out 2 over 3 scoreless innings, but right-hander Seth Frankoff gave up 3 runs in 3 1/3 innings innings of relief to take his 7th loss.
