Worth Noting: Starter Brad Peacock had another rough outing, allowing 8 runs over 4 innings to earn his 5th loss and raise his ERA to 6.63. The River Cats’ lineup managed just 7 hits on Thursday, with second baseman Eric Sogard doing the most damage with a single, an RBI and a run scored.

Worth Noting: Left-hander Jacob Brown turned in the second consecutive solid outing by a Stockton starter, tossing 7 scoreless innings to earn his 3rd win on Thursday. Outfielder Josh Whitaker hit his 12th home run, catcher Beau Taylor tripled and drove in 3 runs, and shortstop Yordy Cabrera doubled and drove in 2.

Worth Noting: Shortstop Sean Jamieson hit a 2-run homer and catcher John Nester doubled in 2 runs in the Bees’ big 4-run 4th inning on Thursday. But it wouldn’t be enough. Starter Seth Frankoff allowed 4 runs, 3 earned, in 5 innings of work, and right-hander Tanner Peters gave up 2 runs in 2 2/3 innings in relief to take the loss.

Worth Noting: Starter Julio Ramos allowed just 1 run and struck out 4 in 3 2/3 innings of work, while outfielder John Wooten went 3 for 4 and first baseman Jacob Tanis collected 2 hits, including a double, and scored twice in the loss.

  1. Hey, it would be cool if you would learn/tell us the back history on Julio Ramos. He was a real prospect back in 2009 and didn’t play in 2010, nor 2011. (It’s seems very rare for someone to be gone for two full playing years.) Thanks.
