Worth Noting: Starter Bruce Billings allowed 6 runs in 7 innings to take his 2nd loss. First baseman Daric Barton was one of the few bright spots in the River Cats’ lineup on Wednesday, collecting 2 hits, including a double, stealing a base and scoring one of Sacramento’s 2 runs on the night.

Worth Noting: Starter Sean Murphy had another solid outing for Stockton, allowing just 1 run and striking out 5 over 6 innings to earn his 4th win since joining the Ports. Outfielder Dusty Robinson clubbed his 8th homer and drove in 2 runs, and first baseman Tony Thompson, third baseman B.A. Vollmuth and outfielder Josh Whitaker contributed 2 hits apiece in the win.

Worth Noting: Starter Max Perlman had his rockiest outing of the year, allowing 7 runs on 11 hits in just 4 2/3 innings of work, but right-hander Drew Tyson came on to toss 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief to earn the win. Outfielder Eliezer Mesa doubled and drove in 3 runs, and outfielder Rashun Dixon homered and drove in 2 to lead the Bees’ attack.

Worth Noting: First baseman Jacob Tanis went a perfect 4 for 4 and drove in 3 runs, including the game-tying run, and outfielder John Wooten had 3 hits, including a homer and double, and drove in 2 to do the bulk of the damage for Vermont on Wednesday.
