Worth Noting: Starter Travis Banwart allowed 4 runs, 3 earned, over 5 2/3 innings and left the game with Sacramento down 4-2. The River Cats came back to tie the game in the 8th inning, but right-hander Danny Farquhar gave up 2 runs in relief to take his 2nd loss. Shortstop Brandon Hicks had 2 hits, including his 8th home run for the River Cats

Worth Noting: Despite walking 6, starter Gary Daley allowed just 1 run on 3 hits over 6 1/3 innings to earn his 7th win for the RockHounds. Outfielder Michael Choice, who’s been heating up a bit of late, collected 3 hits, including a double, and drove in 2 runs in the win. Pitchers Dan Straily, Murphy Smith and Jonathan Ortiz, infielder Anthony Aliotti, and outfielders Shane Peterson, Conner Crumbliss and Jeremy Barfield were all selected to participate in the Texas League All-Star Game on June 28th in Tulsa.

Worth Noting: Starter Jacob Brown allowed 2 runs, just 1 earned, over 6 1/3 innings, and kept the game close enough to give Stockton a chance to stage a late-inning comeback. Third baseman Miles Head doubled in 2 runs in the 8th inning to tie the game and outfielder Chad Oberacker singled in the winning run in the 9th for the Ports.

Worth Noting: After scoring 14 runs on Wednesday, Burlington’s offense returned to its sluggish ways on Thursday, collecting just 4 hits in the game. Outfielder Royce Consigli collected 2 of the Bees’ 4 hits, and starter Max Perlman allowed 5 runs, 3 earned, to take the loss.
