Worth Noting: Starter Tyson Ross turned in another solid outing for Sacramento, walking just 1 while striking out 6 over 6 scroreless innings to earn his 2nd win. Left-hander Pedro Figueroa allowed his first 2 runs of the season for Sacramento in 2 innings of relief. Catcher Derek Norris hit a 2-run homer in the 2nd inning, outfielder Michael Taylor followed with a 2-run homer in the 3rd, and shortstop Brandon Hicks capped the River Cats’ scoring on the night with a 3-run homer in the 8th.

Worth Noting: Catcher Ryan Lipkin hit a 2-run homer in the 6th inning to give the RockHounds the lead. Starter Gary Daley allowed 4 runs over 5 innings of work, but right-hander Jonathan Ortiz allowed 2 runs in the 9th inning to record his 3rd blown save and his 2nd loss.

But the Bees’ bullpen surrendered 5 runs, with left-hander Jeff Urlaub taking the loss. Third baseman B.A. Vollmuth hit a 2-run homer in the 1st inning to putBurlington on the board.
