Worth Noting: Former 1st-round draft pick Grant Green started his first game of the season at shortstop. And despite making an error in the field and getting picked off 1st base, he still had one of his biggest games of the year, collecting 4 hits, including a home run, and drove in 5 runs, including the go-ahead run in the 6th inning. Infielder Brandon Hicks doubled and drove in 3 runs, and outfielder Jermaine Mitchell tripled and drove in 2. Starter Tyson Ross had a solid outing in his first game back at Sacramento, allowing 3 runs, just 2 earned, over 7 innings to earn the win.

Worth Noting: Starter Daniel Straily delivered another impressive performance for Midland on Monday, striking out 11 over 7 shutout innings to earn his 3rd win. Catcher Ryan Lipkin hit a 2-run homer in the 3rd inning, infielder Josh Horton tripled and drove in 2 runs, and first baseman Anthony Aliotti doubled and drove in 2 in the RockHounds’ win.

Worth Noting: Outfielder Dusty Robinson went 3 for 5 and drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the 9th inning for the Ports on Monday. Outfielder Chad Oberacker collected 3 hits as well, and third baseman Miles Head doubled in 2 runs in the 1st inning to put the Ports on the board. Starter Jacob Brown turned in a solid outing, allowing 3 runs, 2 earned, on just 4 hits over 7 innings of work. Right-hander T.J. Walz picked up his 4th win with 2 innings of scoreless relief.

Worth Noting: After delivering an impressive outing on Wednesday, starter Seth Frankoff allowed 5 runs over 5 innings on Monday to take his 4th loss. Right-hander Max Perlman came on to strike out 5 in 2 innings of scoreless relief. The Bees collected just 4 hits in the game, with outfielder Bobby Crocker and first baseman Douglas Landaeta driving in a run apiece for Burlington.
