Worth Noting: Third baseman Josh Donaldson continued his hot hitting, going 3 for 4 and hitting a game-winning walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th inning for the River Cats. Outfielder Collin Cowgill hit his 2nd homer and his 5th double since joining the Cats, raising his batting average to .300. Starter Travis Banwart allowed 3 runs on 8 hits over 5 innings of work, and right-hander Andrew Carignan tossed 2 scoreless innings of relief for the win.

Worth Noting: Second baseman Tyler Ladendorf doubled and drove in 2 of the RockHounds’ 3 runs, outfielder Michael Choice went 0 for 4, dropping his average to .258, and starter Daniel Straily had one of his rockiest outings of the year, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits over 5 1/3 innings to take the loss.

Worth Noting: Stockton’s woes continued on Tuesday as the Ports lost their 9th straight. Starter T.J. Walz had a solid outing, allowing just 2 runs and striking out 8 over 6 1/3 innings, but the Ports could manage only 4 hits against Visalia. Second baseman Ryan Pineda doubled and scored Stockton’s only run in the 3rd.

Worth Noting: Starter Sean Murphy had another strong outing, allowing just 5 hits over 8 scoreless innings for his 3rd win. Third baseman B.A. Vollmuth continued his hot hitting of late, collecting 3 hits, including a homer and a double, and driving in 2 runs. Outfielder Royce Consigli homered, and catcher Nick Rickles, serving as the designated hitter for the day, had 2 doubles and drove in a run in the win.
