Worth Noting: Starter Graham Godfrey had his 3rd straight dominant outing, tossing 7 scoreless innings to earn his 3rd win for the River Cats, while lowering his ERA to a paltry 0.45. Outfielder Collin Cowgill doubled, homered and drove in 3 runs, shortstop Adam Rosales doubled, homered and drove in 2, and outfielder Brandon Moss slugged his team-leading 7th home run for the Cats.

Worth Noting: Starter Gary Daley had another solid outing for the RockHounds, allowing just 1 run over 5 2/3 innings to earn his team-leading 4th win, while right-hander Jonathan Ortiz tossed a scoreless 9th inning to earn his 6th save. Second baseman Tyler Ladendorf homered to give Midland the lead in the top of the 1st, and shortstop Dusty Coleman and outfielder Michael Choice drove in the RockHounds’ other 2 runs in the win.

Worth Noting: The Ports suffered their 7th straight loss on Sunday, while the team’s offense continued to struggle. The Ports posted only 5 hits, the biggest blow coming from infielder Tony Thompson, who homered in the 3rd inning to tie the game. But starter Blake Treinen allowed 4 runs on 9 hits over 6 innings to take his 3rd loss.

Worth Noting: After getting off to a rough start this season, starter Raul Alcantara had his 2nd straight strong outing for the Bees, giving up only 3 hits over 6 scoreless innings to post his 2nd win. Right-hander Max Perlman tossed 2 scoreless innings of relief to earn the save, and third baseman B.A. Vollmuth had 2 hits, including a double, in the win.
