Worth Noting: Starter Travis Banwart had one of his best outings of the year, giving up 2 runs without allowing a walk in 6 innings to earn his 3rd win. Third baseman Josh Donaldson continued tearing up Pacific Coast League pitching, collecting 3 hits, including his 3rd home run, and driving in 2 runs. His batting average now stands at .474 since his demotion. Outfielder Collin Cowgill also drove in 2 runs, and shortstop Adam Rosales, first baseman Chris Carter and outfielder Michael Taylor each doubled. Taylor could get the call in Tampa on Friday if the A’s finally decide it’s time for ailing outfielder Coco Crisp to take a trip to the disabled list.

Outfielder Jeremy Barfield continued his hot-hitting, doubling and driving in 2 of the RockHounds’ 3 runs on the night, while infielders Josh Horton and Leonardo Gil contributed 3 hits apiece.

Worth Noting: Stockton’s offensive struggles continued on Wednesday, as the Ports scored only 1 run again, this time on birthday-boy Miles Head’s solo home run in the 7th inning. The 21-year-old infielder currently leads the team in homers with 7 and batting average at .363. Starter A.J. Cole allowed 4 runs, 1 earned, in 4 2/3 innings for his 4th loss on the season.
