Worth Noting: Starter Brad Peacock allowed just 1 run and struck out 8 in 5 innings for the win, and Fautino De Los Santos struck out 4 in 2 perfect innings of relief. Josh Donaldson, who was Sunday’s starting catcher, slugged a 3-run homer, outfielder Grant Green had 2 hits and drove in 2 runs, and outfielder Collin Cowgill had 3 hits, including a double, and crossed the plate 3 times.

Worth Noting: Shortstop Dusty Coleman and catcher Ryan Lipkin each drove in a pair of runs, and outfielders Michael Choice and Conner Crumbliss contributed 3 hits apiece. Starter Sonny Gray allowed 4 runs over 6 innings, former first-round draft pick James Simmons gave up one run in 2 innings of work for the win, and right-hander Jonathan Ortiz struck out 2 in 1 scoreless inning of relief for his 4^th save.

Worth Noting: Stockton’s hottest hitter, infielder Miles Head, had 2 hits, including a double, and drove in a run, outfielder Rashun Dixon also doubled, and outfielder Myrio Richard and second baseman Nino Leyja contributed 2 hits apiece. Starter Josh Bowman allowed 4 runs on 10 hits over 5 innings of work, but right-hander Jose Guzman gave up 1 run in the bottom of the 8^th inning to take the loss.

Worth Noting: Starter Raul Alcantara had his best outing so far this season, allowing just 1 run and striking out 5 over 5 innings to earn his 1^st win. Outfielder Dusty Robinson doubled and drove in 2 runs, and first baseman Doug Landaeta doubled and drove in a run as well.
