Worth Noting: The River Cats avenged Monday night’s extra innings loss by out-slugging Reno on Tuesday. Catcher Derek Norris led the attack, going 3 for 4 with a homer and 2 RBIs. First baseman Chris Carter and outfielders Grant Green and Michael Taylor also drove in 2 runs apiece. Starter Fabio Castro walked 5 and allowed 4 runs in 5 innings of work.

Worth Noting: Infielder Miles Head continued his hot hitting, going 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 RBIs, and first baseman A.J. Kirby-Jones and outfielder Myrio Richard also contributed 2 hits apiece. Starter Blake Treinen allowed 5 earned runs over 6 innings to take the loss, but left-hander Sean Doolittle continued to impress, striking out 4 over 2 innings of scoreless relief.

Worth Noting: Outfielder Dusty Robinson hit his 6th home run and drove in 3 runs, infielder Wade Kirkland doubled and tripled, and outfielder Chad Oberacker contributed 3 hits for the Bees. But starter Raul Alcantara was roughed up early, allowing 6 runs on 11 hits over just 3 1/3 innings to take his 3rd loss of the season.

  1. I sort of enjoyed the previous format where you did the in-depth articles and interviews. I’m not sure how you could fit that in if you’re doing daily recaps, but personally I would rather have more articles and have recaps every few days or something like that. Just my two cents.
