Worth Noting: Sacramento ended up losing a 10-inning slug-fest after tying the game with 5 runs in the top of the 8th. Starter Brad Peacock allowed 7 runs on 10 hits over 4 1/3 innings, but right-hander Neil Wagner took the loss after giving up 2 runs in the bottom of the 10th. Brandon Hicks led the River Cats offense with a pair of doubles and 4 RBIs. Outfielder Brandon Moss, catcher Derek Norris and shortstop Adam Rosales contributed 2 hits apiece, and first baseman Chris Carter and infielder Wes Timmons each drove in a pair of runs in the loss.

Worth Noting: First baseman Michael Spina slugged his 3rd home run in the last 2 games, outfielder Conner Crumbliss and catcher Ryan Ortiz both doubled, and outfielders Shane Peterson and Michael Choice contributed 2 hits apiece. Starter Daniel Straily, who was the victim of a pair of errors, allowed 5 runs – only 2 of them earned – and struck out 8 over 6 1/3 innings of work.
