Worth Noting: First baseman Chris Carter homered thrice and outfielder Brandon Moss homered twice, outfielders Jermaine Mitchell and Michael Taylor contributed 3 hits apiece, and starter Bruce Billings allowed 1 earned run and struck out 5 over 5 innings for his 1st win for the River Cats this season.

Starter A.J Griffin turned in another solid outing, allowing 2 runs and striking out 5 over 7 innings, but left-hander Carlos Hernandez gave up 4 runs over 1 2/3 innings in his first outing for Midland since being demoted from Sacramento.

Catcher John Nester, serving as the designated hitter for the day, doubled and drove in a run, and Taiwanese infielder Chih Fang Pan had 2 hits, including a double, and drove in 2 runs in the win.
