Worth Noting: First baseman Chris Carter hit a 2-run homer to give the Rivercats the lead, catcher Derek Norris and outfielder Grant Green had 2 hits apiece, and our favorite diminutive Dominican Republican – 5’7” starting pitcher Fabio Castro – allowed just 1 run and struck out 5 over 5 innings to earn his first win for the Rivercats.

Worth Noting: Outfielder Shane Peterson doubled in 2 runs to give the RockHounds the lead, second baseman Conner Crumbliss and outfielder Michael Choice had 2 hits apiece, and starter Murphy Smith allowed 2 runs over 6 innings for his first win.

Worth Noting: Infielder Miles Head continued his hot hitting, blasting a 3-run homer to give the Ports the lead, outfielder Josh Whitaker and shortstop Michael Gilmartin had 2 hits apiece, and starter T.J. Walz allowed just 1 run and struck out 5 over 6 innings of work.
